How often does a boiler need servicing in the Brussels-Capital Region?
Periodic inspection is mandatory every two years for a gas boiler, and every year for an oil boiler.
What does a service include?
Inspection and cleaning of the heat exchanger, burner and combustion circuit ; Measurement of combustion parameters and boiler adjustment ; Check of the flue gas outlet and the air supply ; Check of the safety devices and system pressure ; Periodic inspection certificate, to keep and show in the event of a claim.
How much does a service cost?
Every installation is different: type of boiler, age, accessibility, condition of the flue… That's why we don't publish a fixed servicing rate. Contact us, tell us about your installation, and you'll receive an exact, final price with no surprises.
Elsewhere you'll see very attractive advertised rates. They are often teaser prices: call-out, parts, deep cleaning or the maintenance certificate are then added to the bill. At DPS-Chauffagiste, the price we quote is the price you pay.

It certifies that the installation has been inspected in line with the regulations. Keep it and show it in the event of a claim, in particular to your insurer.
What is the difference between a type 1 and a type 2 EPB acceptance?
Type 1 and type 2 EPB acceptances both certify that a new or modified heating system complies with the EPB rules. DPS Chauffagiste is approved for both: EPB heating adviser for type 1 (no. 001745014) and type 2 (no. 001879886).
Do you work on all makes of boiler?
Yes: we service gas and oil boilers of every make, wall-hung or floor-standing, in houses and apartment buildings alike.
Which municipalities do you cover?
Uccle, Ixelles, Forest, Saint-Gilles, Watermael-Boitsfort, Auderghem, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Anderlecht, Brussels City, and the whole Brussels-Capital Region.
How can I check that you are approved?

Am I eligible for the 6% VAT rate?
The 6% VAT rate applies under conditions linked to the age of the home. We check your eligibility when drawing up the quote; you can also consult the Federal Public Service Finance.
What grants are available for installing a heat pump?
Grants for installing a heat pump change every year. We include them in your quote, and you can check the schemes currently in force on the Brussels Environment website.
